All We Need
to Know
Your Travel Guide for the Bumpy Road of Life
For people who sense that life may be asking more of them than they were ever prepared for, who are being worn down from trying to control what they can’t, and chasing a culturally contrived concept of happiness.

A centerpiece of Teach Our Children Well, our podcast offers a popular way for listeners to explore the insights, mindsets, and skillsets at the heart of TOCW’s Curriculum for Living and to purposefully ponder questions whose answers shape how we live, love, and make our life’s decisions. Centrally:
This central WHY question, and the many more that underlie it, are practical, not navel-gazing inquiries. Their answers drive every decision we make and, therefore, shape the arc and quality of our life experience.
The All We Need to Know podcast doesn’t answer these questions for you. Rather, it shines a light on the perceptions, beliefs, expectations, assumptions, and cultural influences that operate beneath the surface and condition your answers, or keep you from ever asking the questions.
The Wisdom of Why
Our aim for listeners is greater awareness, more informed, intentional, aligned decisions, opening their eyes to choices they may not otherwise know they have. We invite a more accepting and compassionate sense of self by becoming more conscious about what we humans do and, moreover, why we do it.
The podcast offers
From seeing old patterns in a new light.
From the notion there’s something wrong with you that you need to change.
The difference between a gratifying life of ease and an enervating life of struggle.
What to expect
This podcast is for thoughtful people who want to think more intentionally, question more insightfully, and understand themselves and their lives more fully. It is not about celebrity interviews or entertainment. Listeners can expect a serious, yet lighthearted, engaging, and sometimes gently challenging experience.
Rather than offering quick fixes or one-size-fits-all advice, this podcast addresses a fundamental gap in our education. We were taught science and history but never learned the essential skills for navigating life: relationships with ourself, others, and the world we live in.
The episodes of this multi-dimensional podcast are designed to be heard in order — especially at the beginning, because each one builds on the previous ones. That structure reflects the way understanding actually develops: gradually, by layering new insights onto what came before.
Hosted by Jonathan Cleary, an “everyman” who’s traveled the bumpy road of life for seven decades and learned its essential lessons the hard way. Jonathan isn’t here to provide answers — he’s here to lead people to discover their own, combining personal storytelling with guided inquiry.
Anchored in TOCW’s Empower Adults Initiative, our podcast also serves as a gateway to deeper learning through TOCW’s upcoming Learn it/Live it Lectures & Symposia and related conversations in AlluvUs — our community forum. In that sense, the podcast is at once an accessible starting point, a pathway to deeper exploration, and an invitation to engage with others to share ideas, opinions, and lived experiences.
