You know better than most what’s missing from how we prepare young people for life. You’ve seen the Preparation Deficit up close — the students who are academically capable but personally adrift, the parents who want to do better but don’t know how, the curricula that teach to “the test” but don’t prepare kids for the ultimate test — living.
TOCW is forming a working group to address the deceptively simple question: what do late teens and early adults most need to know — and when, and how — to navigate life with awareness, competence, and confidence? Our Curriculum for Living provides the foundational content; this group will transform it into resources that are age-appropriate, teachable, accessible, scalable, and sustainable.

Two of TOCW’s three initiatives — Teach Kids and PREPAREnting — touch directly on territory you know well: the long shadow of insecure attachment, the consequences of unexamined emotional programming, the gap between knowing better and doing better.
TOCW is not a clinical organization. But we believe education and therapeutic insight are not separate domains — in this work, they are inseparable. We’re looking for mental health professionals who can help ensure what we teach is psychologically sound, trauma-informed, and genuinely useful — and who are interested in helping design programs that can reach people at scale.

The substance of the Curriculum for Living is well-formed. The vision for how to productize it: AI-augmented, deeply engaging, economically scalable, and responsively curatable for diverse learners, is clear in its ambitions if not yet in its execution. What’s needed now are the people who know how to build it.
TOCW is looking for experienced builders: people who understand how modern learning products are architected, who know what “as engaging as a smartphone” actually requires technically and experientially, and who have the expertise to help turn a world-class knowledgebase into a robust repertoire of high-touch, high-demand educational products.
This is early-stage, foundational work, the kind that lets you shape something from the ground up rather than optimize something already established.

To move from foundation-building to full execution — to produce the podcast, launch the Learn it/Live it Briefings & Symposia, take our Curriculum for Living “public,” and bring the AlluvUs community to life — we need financial partners who understand early-stage, mission-driven work and what it can become.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization; contributions may be tax deductible. More important, at this stage every dollar goes directly toward building something that doesn’t yet exist anywhere else: a comprehensive, integrated, accessible education in how to live an extraordinary life.
